Dr. Mouzakiari specializes in political parties and studies the variables that affect the decision-making. She is interested in understanding how consistent political parties and leaders remain with their ideology and programmatic principles when critical issues appear.

Her most recent research addresses how the decision–making process has changed in the face of critical issues in economic and foreign affairs fields.
