His major research interests include Microeconomics, Macroeconomic, Industrial Economics, Research and Development, Technological Innovation, Market Structure, the Economics of SMEs, Private and Public Debt Development, Inequality and Relative Poverty.

He has published 10 books and over 80 articles in refereed journals and international conferences. He has served as a national delegate in several OECD and Eurostat Working Parties.

He has also acted as an academic referee for several well-established academic and scientific journals.
